About Raymond Duane

Raised on the classics, I grew up with Robert Louis Stevenson, Walter Scott, and Mark Twain as my earliest companions. Every Friday night, my grandmother read to me with full sound effects and theatrical flair — the perfect apprenticeship for a future storyteller.
I went on to work for my college paper, became the founding editor of a weekly newspaper, and wrote for a wide range of magazines — including some in the adult‑entertainment world, where deadlines were tight and the stories were never dull.
My fantasy novels are written for my wife, Jill, who loved dragons, strange creatures, and magick. Together we co‑authored Fort Jafra: Beware the Rae Jungle, a dragon adventure born from our shared imagination. My stories blend sword‑and‑sorcery adventure with a touch of mystical philosophy about life, love, and the choices that shape us.
I’ve also written a few cookbooks — because my characters love to eat almost as much as I do.
